It was sunny and about 65 degrees when I arrived in Anchorage Wednesday afternoon, so I decided to skip the shuttle and make the 1 mile walk along the shore of Lake Spenard to my hotel.
Here's a video (in full 1080p High Definition) of a floatplane crash that happened along the same road the following week. Fortunately, all aboard (pilot, three passengers and two dogs) survived without injury. (Note the cameraman diving to the ground as the plane passes overhead and clips the fence.)
